in person

with John Markland

may 18th - july 6th

Let’s pick up where we left off.

It’s time to hyper-focus the rehearsals, formalize pre-production, lock-in locations, assemble crews and move into shooting or staging. We will also find theatres and begin marketing and scheduling for all the projects in the slate. The exact production schedules will differ for each and each has many contributing factors, but the goal is on getting them launched.

Leading up to this next session we will need to assume roles beyond that of acting and set up teams to address locations, set/prop/wardrobe, light/sound, post, marketing/promotion etc. etc. We will have to discover what skill sets we each have and push into areas that we each need to develop.

Remember. The mission is to create authentic, human-driven stories that align with the highest level of work in each medium. No short cuts. No excuses. All hands on deck.

There will be a lot of challenging work both in the studio and outside with a great deal of responsibility to carry the project through to fruition while cultivating a tight, fully functioning production team. I will be guiding each of project as an artistic producer/ director and pulling on collaborators in the industry throughout the process to help engage recourses necessary to bring each project to life.

The program will require a lot of creative juice, grit, tenacity and humility and no task or position will beneath anyone. I will consider scripts and ideas prior to the launch of the program but we will also be creating them throughout. I will be interviewing each actor, writer and director so reach out ASAP because we will be hitting the road running in January
