Human vs A.I. Play Workshop
with John Markland
Los Angeles December 8-13th
New York December 15-20th
Our responsibility is to create human experience that awakens awareness, acceptance, or challenges injustices and inequalities, hoping to evolve, to heal and sometimes to forgive. It is our calling and we have answered, maybe because somewhere deep within us, we believe we have that to give.
This one-week workshop will be intense, challenging you to bring your talent, effort, intuition, experience and pure will power to the creative calling you have each chosen to dedicate yourselves.
The Humanity Project and The Markland Studio have come together to give writers, actors, and directors a unique opportunity to VOICE our FEAR, EXPRESS our ANGER, EXPOSE our HEART, and bring to life plays of Human vs I.A.
The winners of The Humanity Project’s play competition will be workshopped, rehearsed, directed, and produced for two live performances with a Q-n-A following each performance for the audiences to speak with the artists. Two shows in NYC and two shows in Los Angeles.
Our species is facing the birth of a new ‘race’ for the first time and ART must hold up a mirror today before tomorrow arrives. What is a soul? What is it to be human? To be conscious? Can it be born of machine? Is it the next evolutionary step? Does it replace us? Does it kill us? Does it save us? Do we cohabitate? Do we stop this? Can we stop this? Can it create original art? Will it love?
This opportunity asks you to bring all your heart, energy, and faith to the creation of these plays. There will be two performances. One Friday night and one on Saturday night. You MUST be available for both performances.
Let us challenge our future.
