My goal is to connect your life to your craft so that every “role” means something to you – that. you have “personal stakes in the scene”. The class will advance your character development, establish a real point of view, create access to self-permission and most importantly, engage intuition-led choice and action.
I will direct you inward to find and then allow the parts of the character that have always existed consciously and unconsciously within you. I will challenge and guide you to the nuances, the “micro” and subtle expressions of inner life that we don’t even realize we are picking up on. I will push you to increased sensitivity where a greater range of belief, behavior and action is possible.
There will be certain expectations with this class. Off book. Accents prepared. In depth back stories. Physicalizations, behaviors, expressions, compulsions, and any nuanced movement prepared prior to first class. Wardrobe. Props. Also, world and life research. Know the place, time and culture that influence your character.
Create something REAL, something AUTHENTIC, something ORIGINAL. Then get on stage and be PRESENT, be BOLD and be HONEST.
As soon as you sign up, you will receive prep work and once a viable partner signs up, I will assign a scene so you can have weeks to work - if you have the passion and discipline to do that.
